It's finally (almost) here! Billy the Pyro #2 is coming out June 11th, and can be picked up thru Alterna Comics on ComiXology. I'm so excited to get this issue out there it was a blast to put together. The team really outdid themselves on this one.

Big Wow! ComicFest 2014 Convention

I'll be attending this years Big Wow! ComicFest in San Jose, CA on May 17-18. I'm going to have print copies of Billy the Pyro #1 for sale, as well as debuting some new BTP prints from FabianCobos. Billy the Pyro Gets Picked up by Alterna Comics

Shortly after the successful Kickstarter of Billy the Pyro #1, Alterna Comics picks up the first story arc of BTP, which will be 4 issues long. Alterna Comics, a New York Times Best-Selling Graphic Books Publisher, who has published such comics as; Fubar, American Terror, The Golem, and The Last West. Will now add Billy the Pyro to their roster. The first issue will be released on April, 16 2014.
Billy the Pyro is a not so normal coming of age story, about adolescent teenager Billy trying to deal with his abusive and troubled life. Soon learning that he has been genetically altered by a government research institute to possess the ability to produce and control the element of fire. Billy now has even more questions as he tries to figure out who he truly is and his purpose in life.

Protecting yourself from Paypal chargebacksI decided I'd write something on this since it seems to be affecting a lot of my friends and artists I'm close to. I'll start with a few disclaimers.
Disclaimer 1:
I am not a finance expert. I have never filed a chargeback nor have I been in a chargeback dispute (fortunately). I have done some research out of both curiosity and out of desire to help out the community a bit. This is going to be quick(ish) and summarized. I'm also going to be changing some things to the way I sell as well (obviously).
Disclaimer 2:
This journal isn't about what to do in a chargeback dispute but rather, how to set up your sales so that you'll have the upper hand when having to deal with a dispute. I've included some useful links at the bottom for further information!

Printed Minky Reviewedit to add: yes the printed minky is washable! I didn't wash mine, but according to spoonflower "Wash separately in cool or warm water using a gentle machine cycle. Machine dry using a low temperature or permanent press setting and remove promptly to avoid wrinkles." Although please don't machine wash a plush, ahah. Just the fabric.

So I recently got the chance to play with printed minky! Here's a sort of review about it

Price: $28/yrd. Very expensive, but for a very versatile product of this quality it's definitely justified.
Shipping: Only $6 to Canada, with tracking, took about a week and a half to arrive once shipped, no duties. A+
File prep: spoonflower has very simple requirements that are easy to follow. I scanned my pattern pieces, cleaned them up and colored them, then I copied them into a file that was set to spoonflower's specifications (150dpi, set to the width of minky. I added length as I needed it). To make sure my pieces
