10 Truths
Hi everyone, DA has always sort of been a place to share thoughts (since I was about 15, how ridiculous is that). I wanted to put this out into the community here, because maybe it can have a positive effect on just one person who stops by to read it (and the bonus is that writing it down on a public space like this clarifies a lot for me). So here it goes:
1. Stop living by your "rules". We all make up our own rules of life based on how we were raised. But rules actually prevent us from doing things that make us feel alive. We must let go of these ideas that breed negativity, irritation, jealousy, and insecurity. The less rules we have to break, the happier we will be, the more room we have in our heart for people who are different than us. People are wonderfully diverse, we must find ways to embrace their individuality.
2. Surround yourself with like-minded people. You are a reflection of the people closest to you. If you are surrounded by negative, apathetic, unmo

150 watchers raffle!! -art raffle- (closed)
Hi guys! :D:D So, I don't know why, but I didn't notice I had 150 watchers until now, when I didn't get any new watchers. So first off, THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU GUYS!!! :la: :squee:  OMG, I really wasn't expecting getting this far when I first signed up, this is amazing! You guys are awesome!:heart:
Okay, now on to the raffle! :D
This will work just like before, except that I will be limiting the number of tickets to earn to 30. It makes it fair for those who have no points to spend.
So, how do you get tickets?
To enter, and so far get one ticket, you must: favorite this journal, and +watch me.
For extra tickets: tag 2 artists, and show at least one of your favorite artworks of theirs, and get 1 more ticket. For a description to why you chose it, you will get one bonus ticket. (stealing idea from Streetfair , hope you don't mind, I just found it awesome)

Nick Wilde Humility Sketch
I’m not sure when I sketched this but I’m due to get more practice. Odd sideways perspective but it was fun to do!

Art @ myself.

:iconstreetfair: Streetfair is having a 1000 watch raffle which involves featuring other artists and it didn't take me (or my notification center) long to find out she had me on the list of featured artists! Thanks so much for that - it's a first for me :3 Anyway I put off doing my part to enter the raffle and share the featured artists due to a crazy couple of weeks with life challenges.

So let's kick this off!

:icondanno1991: Danno1991

I was enjoying going through Daniel's gallery and finding the fun scenarios/ideas the characters are found in, plus some nice backgrounds.  It's something I enjoy thinking about, even when I can't always get it on paper myself, so I was more than happy to watch them.  Looking forward to more - Actually watch out, everyone is going to get some watches of their own!

:iconshadow-d-husky: Shadow-D-Husky

I was going through your galleries and saw some influence from All Dogs Go To Heaven, which brought me back, but you made them your own. Great improvements in your style and anatomy.  I hope to make similar progress some day - Keep it up dude!

:iconhoneylovage: HoneyLovage

I'm really loving the amount of storytelling in these pieces, mixed with so many colors and characters. Very cool time going through your gallery and every artists I've been finding I know I could learn so much from! Check them out!

:iconluna-stark: Luna-Stark

I've been watching Luna for a while now and have seen some awesome growth as an artist.  I'm happy to see some comic storyboards coming up which are fun reads and there's lots of character creation going on.  I'm drawn towards the cheery demeanor of the characters - not to be unrealistic to life but it's what I prefer to see!

:iconbrysfine: Brysfine

Such a nice take on some animated show/movie characters, in many ways I find them much better. Also funny situations are there that made me smile. I can't wait to see more work *watches notification feed moar*

:iconcherishart: CherishArt

Thylacine 'Out Of The Shadows' by CherishArtOribel -Commission by CherishArt'Space' -commission by CherishArt

It's okay if you didn't know I was an artist - I didn't either for a while xD I've really enjoyed the atmosphere, life and vividness you bring to your/others' characters and art pieces. There's never a dull moment when I see something posted from your page.  I mean look a that dinosaur! Check out Cherish Art And you, too, may find you will cherish art more!

:iconflapperfoxy: FlapperFoxy

Going through Flapper Foxy's gallery was a fun trip through time.  The various character styles from those time periods brought me back.  I was exposed to a bit of those times through my parents and when they shared media from then.  Very cool to see so check them out!

:iconjblask: Jblask

Jblask's traditional art stands out even as we find more digital stuff out there; plenty of bright colors and lively characters. It seems their spirit may be down but hoping that gets turned around.  Feature away! :)

:iconfigofox: FigoFox

I was happy to find FigoFox, really drawn to how she styles her foxes,  which made her an easy choice to commission. Yet another artist which can get a smile out of me just from looking over a thumbnail. I can sense the feeling the artist puts into their work.  Go look now!

:iconstrawberry-loupa: Strawberry-Loupa

So many htings here, amazing backgrounds, animations, cool characters and even comics? Kinda interested in that story which I just read a bit of.  Not sure why I missed this artist until now but glad they were featured!

:iconsolkeyia: Solkeyia

I thought I saw Solkeyia's comic somewhere, now I can keep up with it!  Where to start? Scenes full of emotion, nice anatomy and cool backgrounds? What's not to like? Going to watch closely!

I finally got to review as much as I could but I'm sure I'll be revisiting everyone's galleries as soon as I can.  I'm sure I'll also get around to thanking everyone for featuring me further, but I'll thank you here too!  I don't have a tablet or digital art tools besides a mouse, but someday I'll get more art posted and it won't just be sketchy pencil stuff!

That is all!
