“I feel I owe you another explanation, Harry,” said Dumbledore hesitantly. “You may, perhaps, have wondered why I never chose you as a prefect? I must confess… that I rather thought… you had enough responsibility to be going on with.”
Harry looked up at him and saw a tear trickling down Dumbledore’s face into his long silver beard.

this countdown... is so emotionally draining. i re-read chapter thirty-seven, The Lost Prophecy, from the fifth book to make sure i would get this scene right and mannnn, WHAT an amazing chapter... so. so. so. so heart wrenching.
I've been semi-randomly clicking around "More from DeviantArt," and the coloring on this really caught my eye. Beautiful use of contrast between the light and dark areas. The sunset colors through the windows are gorgeous.
"Just because something is imaginary doesn't mean it is not real." Imaginationland South Park
"I... Um... because I think... they are real. It's all real. Think about it. Haven't Luke Skywalker and Santa Claus affected your lives more than most real people in this room?
I mean, whether God /Jesus is real or not, he... he's had a bigger impact on the world than any of us have. And the same could be said of Bugs Bunny and, a-and Superman and Harry Potter.
They've changed my life, changed the way I act on the Earth. Doesn't that make them kind of "real."? They might be imaginary, but, but they're more important than most of us here. And they're all gonna be around long after we're dead.
So in a way, those things are more realer than any of us." Imaginationland South Park.
This scene always makes me emotional for reasons unknown. Maybe because Dumbledore showed how he cared so much for Harry or because Harry began breaking so many things out of rage yet Dumbledore let him. I'm not too sure, but Dumbledore obviously loves Harry like a son
Oh dang, this picture looks gorgeous, just look how much weight there is to it! I just love everything about it - Harry's expression and the way he's sitting, the dawn light streaming through the window, the shattered instruments on the floor... and this is all traditional like how do you even do this?? <3
I love how you still draw with paper and pencil. So many artists have switched to digital. I mean its still really good, but there is just something about traditional work that is so magical. I love how you draw people. I can only wish I could draw this well.
