SOME SORT OF DRAGON
I think this might be the law dragon? Seems to fit. For.. some reason. This is what law looks like! (DON'T QUESTION MY LOGIC) His/her/its name is Darbarosa~ And I kinda made a font? XD
Sorry for the sketchy quality, this is like a "just invented a design, still working on it" scribble.

Anyway not very developed character, but this is one of le dragon spirit god thingies that rule over regions of the world in Beckoning Reverie. "Dragon" is a really loose term in this setting and the only general trait is.. its a big thing that flies. Many of them also have wings!
Darbarosa is one of the more eldritch ones... I figure he-or-she is a bit out of touch with its Tuarthan subjects and not much for talking. Sort of a.. mysterious pile of faces embedded in a rock face somewhere that acts more like a god statue than an actual god. I see it as being able to "swim" through surfaces so it always looks like a weird sculpture in the wall, and even merge into people's skin in order to move around. (Good thing only spiritually-inclined people can see it.. that would be pretty damn terrifying. You gotta feel sorry for the 'ol guy, its like "I was only hitching a lift to the supermarket! I didn't mean to give everyone simultaneous heart attacks!")
And.. whenever Darbarosa actually pops out of a surface and floats freely on the air- that's when s/he is about to get DANGEROUS. I dunno what powers it has, but I'm thinking "madness powers".. like mind control and hallucinations and stuff.. can kill you of fright or trap you in a neverending dream...
But mostly.. just a quiet lazy stuck-up posh guy who tries too hard to be ominous and mysterious and.. well, godly. XD Just don't make it mad.

Lol I'm always all "I can't draw monsters! I can only draw generic cute humanoids!!" but then on the rare occasion I actually DO get an idea for a monster its always something I can be proud of :3
This is supposed to be a representation of light as an evil unholy force- in this universe that's how it goes instead of the current european dark = bad stereotype. Light represents death, disease and punishment. This guy is a sacred being associated with the unholy element- so he's sort of a "not evil but still terrifying" thing that's nice to its worshippers and vicious to its enemies. (But even the people who love it.. are also rather scared and obedient..)
There's also a bit of a dual moon/sun thing I wanna work with.. I figured it was the best spiritual personification for "law" and the idea of a god preoccupied with controlling and fixing thier subjects rather than caring for them. It's like "I am far far away but always watching. I am cold as ice and burn like fire. I am relentless, you can never make me stop. If anyone tried.. I'd drag you all down too. It's a law of the universe."
This god is really fearsome and cruel but does also genuinely have a huge amount of love for mortals. (Just doesn't know how to express it and settles for "I have to PROTECT them. They'll RESPECT me even if they don't like me!!")

Trivia: I designed this thing via messing around with coins. I have this habit.. kind of a calming coping method? I arrange and stack coins in various patterns that make sense somewhere in my loopy head. And I made a nice pattern with all the heads up and then I just imagined this and it was cool. The end!
The moral is that mental eccentricities are useful and fun :3
Trivia no. 2: I thought up a REALLY COOL NAME in the middle of the night and then I totally forgot it by the morning. All I remember is that it began with P and it was around 8 letters long...
In my attempt to remember it right now, I made up a new one! I was like oh darn well I forgot it.. SUDDENLY DARBAROSA. Kinda fits cos he/she could be nicknamed Darbie for the moments when its being more goofy and out-of-touch instead of terrifying. ("TEACH ME THE VIRTUES OF THIS THING YOU CALL TEA. IT HAS PLEASANT SMELL. GIMME.")
