The Unbroken... by BumwardoImortal The Unbroken... by BumwardoImortal
"The Unbroken & Open Lapis Circle."
[:faint:]
Sometimes if I'm calm enough I feel energy flowing into as well as out of everything around me especially unusual or precious stones. This picture is a visualization of some of that feeling I get.
:meditation:
Materials - 8.5" * 11" paper, Prisma color pencils, Micron pens, and a mechanical pencil.

this piece is great. you might find some inspiration in electron microscope slides of precious stones and such (theyre nuts). i did a mural series based on a couple when i was in high school but havent been able to find those sorts of images since. but again, great piece and stellar sense of visualization.

Thanx! :thanks: As for the prisma color - micron dillema, I do my line work 1st, then color. If the line gets faded by color, go over the line again with a feather touch and occasionaly rub the pen with a piece of tissue or something, the pen will run over anything if your carefull enough, everything that is except an oily surface...

How incredible. you sure are gifted. I feel it subtly at times, but not enough to visualise it. Good work using the vibrant colours and the vastness also emphasises the glow. Was it quite hard to make this into a visual form?

Thank ya :D ...Although we can all feel it, the energies are also pretty universal so we can all describe them, usually as an "elemental association", earth, fire, water, air, and spirit. I hate to use old alchemical terms but they help us visualize said energies. If ya can visualize one or more of these sorta forces then ya can draw it, la, de, da, de, da. Although Lapis Lazuli, the mineral here, has much more of a water or earth elemental association than fire, I just was going for complimentary colors... The weird Particle collision in a bubble chamber lookin stuff in the bottom half is how I visualize the force of spirit...

Yeah I was trying to avoid those terms. They now bring up Dan Brown's "original" writings some how.
Ah I wasn't quite so sure about the bottom half too. What with all the stem-lookalike elements. There are also a few symbolic shapes. especially on the bottom right. Well, they look as if they're significant. Are they?

You must mean mah symbol, I put that in everything I make, sorta like a copyright. It's a tribalized and oversimplified pic of jupiter rising over europa's horizon. Or at leat that's what it evolved from...

quality work. Love the detail in your work aswell as the though process that goes into it. You must have an incredible amount of patience. I have an inability to do that these days. Im always after instant gratification.

Either I'm just temporarilly inspired, or as I slowly age my pesonal moto is increasingly leaning to "Sacrifice of the hear and now for enjoyment of the moment later." Or was it the other way around? Either Way... Thanx
