It is a beautiful home design with challenging roof lines but I still wanted to give it a shot. Sadly it was just impossible to duplicate many of the aspects that give this home such charm. I worked with the Sims capabilities as best I could to get the same aesthetic but it is very limiting. I did take a look at Sketchup and it looks as though I could create just about anything with it! Unfortunately my hobby budget is fairly limited, I do not receive any sort of compensation, I do it just for fun. I cannot justify spending $500 for the Sketchup program even though it would be pretty awesome to work with.
I really love the style of your designs and the challenge of trying to create them as virtual homes. I hope you will not be offended if I unintentionally end up butchering a few of these to make them work in the Sims. I know that players, Simmers, as they are called in the Sims community, will enjoy them nonetheless and I put credits to you in the description as the original artist for my design inspiration. I wanted to let you know the download stats for your designs that I have created in the Sims so far:
Shared 6/7/15 (created in April but didn't share it until the retail expansion was released), The Clove Town Center Group 3 Buildings (retail lot), 185 downloads
Shared 6/19/15, House #336 (residential lot), 279 downloads
Shared 6/24/15, House #31 (residential lot), 113 downloads
Shared 6/25/16, House #345 (residential lot), 79 downloads
In the past week, 471 Simmers have moved their virtual families into a Beauregard style inspired home and 185 have opened up shops! That is pretty cool
