Some time during high school I got into papercraft, an artform that involves cutting, folding, and gluing various pieces together to form a full figure or object. Distinct from origami, which involves folding a single piece of paper, this craft can utilize a large variety of materials and shapes to make complex designs.
Junior year of high school I started making paper bag puppets which a lot of people seemed to appreciate. Senior year I was challenged by some friends to create paper figurines for a prank. The design I came up with was the springboard for my art now, and that original framework has inspired almost all of my paper figures since.
I hope you enjoy all of my work! If you have a character you want to see made, leave a comment and let me know! I might just take you up on it.
