Time has come for me to pass the baton off to someone else. When KooboriSapphire passed it to me I told him I would keep it as intact as he created it 10+ years ago. Frankly it's been a challenge. Yeah, I'm a dick, I know. No need to tell me off, I already know. But for all the effort he put into this group the amount of support he gave to this group and all that he asked of others to help him was a bit slight. It's like no one really cared what he did and so he did the very best that he (a hell of a lot more than I ever did) and then one day he didn't want to carry the burden.
Now I don't want to carry the burden. My own group is really slacking even though it's on auto pilot and I want to make it more than it is which leaves me little time for this group. It's only fair to you reading this because I KNOW you don't want me to simply close it or worse close the ability to submit and it just sits here doing nothing. I suppose I could turn on all automatic submissions and automatic joins and never clean it up once it gets cluttered and overwhelmed as most dilapidated abandoned groups become once they're founders "leave".
So I'm looking for a new Founder and like Koobori did with me there are some stipulations to who I'm gonna hand it off to:
1. You need to be an active member of Deviant Art - an artist, photographer, writer, whatever your style or medium
2. You should be at least a member of another group - preferably a Contributor or in some sort of administrative role
3. Legal age (18+)
4. Promise KooboriSapphire to keep the rules the way they are as I did. (there is literally no way I could enforce this point. I did it to honour him because he trusted me to take over his group and would expect the person who secedes would also honour him)
And that's it!
If I don't get any positive responses to this journal entry that explains WHY you want to take over the group I'll just switch everything on and stop coming to this group to regulate it. But before i do that I'll make sure the final journal entry will highlight as many artists as possible.
