Hanzo Hasashi was the leader of the Shirai Ryu clan that was wiped from the face of Earthrealm by the Lin Kuei. His wife and son were murdered in the attack by Bi Han AKA the first Sub-zero, and after witnessing his families death, Hanzo himself was murdered last and the Shirai Ryu was no more.

Hanzo then awaken in the Netherrealm, a burning hell for the damned souls. There he confronted the sorcerer Quan Chi. Quan Chi then offered Hanzo a deal, serve him and he can have his revenge on Sub-Zero. Desperate for revenge, he accepted Quan Chi's offer and became the Netherrealm specter Scorpion.

They entered the Mortal Kombat tournament hosted by Shang Tsung to search for Sub-Zero. Once he found him, Scorpion defeated Bi Han and burned him, sending the him to Hell.

He thought his soul could finally be at peace, but later (In MKX) he was restored to Hanzo with the aid of the thunder god Raiden. Hanzo then reform the Shirai Ryu. Then Kuai Liang the new Sub-Zero came to Hanzo and revealed his families true killer, all along it was Quan Chi impersonating Bi Han. Now knowing the truth Hanzo and Kuai Liang formed an allience, and Hanzo then search for Quan Chi, to make him pay, in which he succeeded.

Man, Scorpion has a really complicated backstory. Makes you realize he was never a bad guy. I decided to draw his as his classic version, cuz it was the easiest and very simple. hope u like it.
