Low-Poly Super Mario Island
Lately, I've been exploring 3D-modeling using Cinema 4D, so I thought I'd share a scene that I've been using to practice various modeling techniques. Therefore, this is still a work-in-progress and I'd appreciate any critiques or feedback.
This scene originated when exploring the 'Brush' tool to deform objects in Cinema 4D, which I used to create the topography of the floating island. Additionally, after using the mushroom to learn about subdivision surfaces, I found that a Super Mario theme provided the appropriate subject matter to further explore the available modeling tools.
All objects were created in Cinema 4D, and placed over a gradient background in Photoshop.
