Commission: Princess Celestia - All is Lost

I have momentarily conquered my epic battle against the forces of nature with my trusted side Excalibur the Snow-Shovel to bring you all another installment of New Dawn Chapter art!

The ruler of Equestria stands in what remains of the great city of “Baltimare” as the gravity of the situation begins to finally set in. With chaos erupting throughout the land our heroes might just have to accept that this is a battle they may not be capable of winning.

This was a chapter that was filled with rising tensions as it builds to the stories climatic moments. I got to go back to drawing destroyed urban landscapes, which I have not been able to do for a while. I spared no expense and literally tore chunks out of this city. The red brick laden road of Main St. is a shell of its former self as cracks, holes and demolished buildings line the streets. I also got to play with a little bit of graffiti on the wall of a building. In my opinion, that has always been something that was easy to implement, but difficult to master. I think I did a decent job on it here. My past experiences creating *cough* “Wall Murals” *cough* paid off well for me there.
