Okay, here is another commission ordered up by
This time, I got thrown a little bit of a curveball. I wasn’t asked to do the usual action scene, or pairing pic, but instead a little something to help a franchise that may have gotten off on the wrong foot. We all saw the crowdfunding campaign behind Mighty Number 9. I think most of us were pretty excited to see Mega Man’s legacy live on. If we couldn’t have the Blue Bomber back, then this was hands down the next best thing.
Long story short, this pic was intended to send a message. One that says we can’t give up on these crowd funded games so quickly. There are so many titles that just came out or that are currently in the works that fill a videogame niche that the major players simply can’t touch. We do need to keep supporting games like this, to show developers the kinds of things we want them to be working on. God knows I threw my money at Shenmue 3 a few months back (Whoo! Long Live the Dreamcast!). Its stuff like this that keeps us veteran gamers invested. They are made by people who grew up in the medium just like us.
Simple enough, this pic is about encouragement. Shantae, Yooka and Laylee are all huddling in around Beck. Letting him know that tomorrow is another day and the future is only as bright as you make it. They are looking to Kickstart his mood into something more positive by pointing out the WayForward…
Sorry, had to close on a couple of bad pun. *cringe* even I think I am pushing my luck with that last one.
So thanks again to BlueDragonKaiser for picking up another commission from the house of BroDogz. I’ve drawn Shantae once before, but I did get to knock YookaLaylee and Mighty No. 9 off my never drawn list, so I’ll count that as a win.
If anyone else out there would like some commission work. Check out the price chart below and give me a ring. I’ll let you know what I can do about it.
Hate is something that gets so old so quick in the gaming community. Even if some people were disappointed, there are so many better ways to voice it other than by being unrepentant jerk-monkey. I for one found little to no issues with this game. It was challenging as it should be for a Mega Man game. Even if I found something off, it's cool because it just gives me a reason to use my voice to help build back better.
Anybody played Mighty Gunvolt Burst yet? =D
