Comm: Masked Matterhorn - Make an Entrance

swung on by your friendly neighborhood BroDogz and ordered up another superhero themed commission for his own expanded universe. This time the subject was a variation on the human variant of Twilight Sparkle (a.k.a. the Masked Matterhorn) that I did rather recently. This version sports a few changes and additions that include more armor and a sleeker overall design.

This was just a matter of making tweaks until I found something that worked. I "shrunk" the forehead to make her more aerodynamic, added length to the cape for that additional metal flare and grafted energy variants of the alicorn's famed wings and tail. Figured she needed something to anchor her a touch more to her pony roots. 

It's not a bad showing. All that extra flair helps sell the pic to boot as her hair, tail and extended cape react violently to her movement. This heroine is in no mood for games as she is depicted crashing down onto a rooftop ironman style, ready for action. the poor cement she landed on didn't stand much of a chance as the force of her entry causes it to crumble and shatter. I added a few pieces of debris flying towards the screen to give the image a better overall sense of depth.  

At the end of the day, I am happy with it. Thanks to Darthmind for securing another commissioned piece from me. The repeat business is always appreciated.
