my PTSD by briethebee my PTSD by briethebee
sometimes its hard to tell who the enemy is....
notice how I'm reaching out towards the red clouds which is masked by blue? can you tell who is the enemy? its obvious from a distance but from my perspective its hard to tell. the blue is trying to softly pull me back where as the red is grasping wildly at me.
everything in this art work means something to me however the red and blue are the main focus. most of my drawings about myself and my experiences involve the colours red and blue. I think I've finally figured out why. yeah no, its not a good thing but its at least something. honestly you could invert the colours and this drawing would still hold the same meaning for me.
the hands are a constant focus in my drawings about my head, they are not just a visual representation, to me they are as real as you...which is terrifying.
when I finished this artwork I thought about adding in purple since red and blue make purple but every time I tried too the red and blue lost there intensity in my minds eye. I believe that's because there was no purple only red and blue....that doesn't make sense to you but it does to me.
thank you for listening.
