Bio about me and Kickstarter

Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself and how I came into doing this comic. I grew up loving comics and the supernatural, specifically vampires. However, from the small town where I grew up and me being socially awkward with the people I grew up with, it really was hard for me to be myself. It was not until after I got out of school, including college, that I allowed myself to just be me. I worked with kids at a school for thirteen years before I started working at a hospital, so I work with and help people. It was this whole time that allowed me to let my dream and creativeness come out. That is where Bianca Bordeaux came in. I took inspiration from my favorite comic book, X-Men, and one of my favorite TV shows, True Blood, as well as be inspired from the likes of Anne Rice, Chloe Neil, and even the video game and now tv series, Castlevania. These things allowed me to be able to write these stories and set up this world. I can’t draw so when I ran into Ewelina on an art site, I was able to talk with her to do the pages. I am very grateful for her help.

One question I constantly get is that did I take inspiration from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines? The answer is no. While I do know of the VTM series, it is very minimal and has no impact on me.

Another question is why Bridgeport? The answer to that is that I tried to make it a fictional city and thanks to my friend who has been to an actual city called Bridgeport, in Connecticut. So that is straight up coincidence. I was basing my fictional city on the size of like New York or LA on the east coast.
