I have done very little sequential artwork lately.Why??No one has asked me to do anything in while.I actually enjoy drawing sequential artwork better than drawing pinups.The last issue I drew I never even received a payment nor even a actual issue of the printed comic book.Thank you Phi3 comics I love drawing/inking 2 whole issues worth comics for what turned out to be for nothing.Yeah I'm a naive idiot.SIGH!Even though they screwed me over at least they were interested in my artwork.Nobody else seems to care.So why do I post stuff....good question old habit to break I guess.So I've basically I've been doing ton pinups drawings just for practice.Here is some of my latest artwork.

I haven't worked on whole lot lately, my other job has been keeping me super busy.Sigh! I'm going start posting more of my work here ,with samples of my more recent stuff.More to come honest!If anybody wants to color them for practice let me know would love to see how it turns out.

I recently did some experimental(KEY WORD) manga pages.My manga artwork experiment was not very well liked by anyone(I mean no one liked them-at ALL-borderline hated).
Let's leave it at that- NOBODY liked them- I was not meant be mangaka artist.I GET IT.
It was just a experiment, and I got information I wanted-apparently I suck at drawing.writing manga(humor based anyways) .
However unlike other people that try to do manga,I realized  it is not working out, and I moved on.
Still people keep leaving comments on my manga post ignoring my other work(or don't care). Ironically, when I posted those almost month ago no one made any comments,however recently I received nothing but comments. So I have decided to remind people I've done other sequential work. My manga artwork experiment has been a complete utter failure.I have posted maybe 20 or more things recently done in manga style ,and have had with all 20 pieces... maybe have had 40-50 views in last several weeks for those pieces all put together as grand total.When compared to when post other artwork...this is kinda bad...so it's very noticeable that I'm getting no real views..A few favs here and there,1- 2 downloads(???) ,and one kinda negative commenter from a apparent 12-13 year old that pulled a hit and run type comment critique on my sequential art for page 1, but other than that zip, null, nothing.
So let's face it I suck at drawing manga, and this been huge failure ,or nobody cares one way or another whither I suck, or am super at drawing in general.Bottom line no cares if I'm good bad or ugly..nobody cares about the art.
So why do any more or try to improve...exactly...why who cares...so no more.

Ok I mentioned few days ago on here that I have basically given up ever working for what most people term American comics, either the big 3 ,or various levels of independents any more.
Why?They don't pay, and when they do pay -it's small amounts -however there is plenty artist that want that pay, but not enough slots( aka comics) to go around.I have worked  for few independents, and they always promise to pay in the beginning, and either pay very little or just plain lie to your face and never pay you for your time and effort.
I worked for company recently that did this for example -they paid for issue 1-2 small amount but pretty good for independent comic.The company promised to pay for issue 3-5 as well.. which I've worked on believing they would pay me,after all, why not they payed me before..... right.They would not leave me hanging or screw me after being so nice with issues 1-2..right.....right.
I am still waiting for those payments for issues 3-5...do you think i'll ever see that payment or even receive issue's of the actual printed comic book....yeah....NO!.
Reality they will just move on to do same technique to another artist-pay little for a issue or maybe two- and then make big promises-assure you everything fine-with compliments and ego stoking--then milk the artist until they finally give up after figuring out you been had and move on.Rinse and Repeat.
Face it people,  comic companies don't want to pay the artist-EVER- they want to get work for nothing-ALWAYS.

Take the time to really read what they are willing to pay a artist for 24-30 page comic book.Forget skill level-I'm talking about time for work and effort.It is criminal.Why do they do it ......because they know there enough artist world wide that are always  willing to be used or gullible enough  to believe you will get payed.Hey, I know because I was one of them evidently.Don't even get me started on doing pinups.
Ok -OK!...enough on artist getting used.Basically I decided to try something new lately with manga.
Why? Manga...it's fun and has huge world wide fan acceptance..... I mean if I am going to work on something for nothing- I might as well have some fun doing and maybe even chance  people will actually read it.
It's as simple as that.Who knows I might make something out of drawing manga where as I  have failed with American comics,or I might suck at drawing manga comics as well and give up drawing all together.That's why/what I am testing some new things lately.
