I've been a costumer for a number of years, and enjoy the challenges each costume brings both construction-wise and modelling-wise.
I make and wear all my own costumes, and have never had any formal training for costume design. I believe anyone is capable of sewing regardless of background experience, so long as you have the imagination to be creative and the willingness to learn from your mistakes. Needless to say I've made my fair share of rather silly mistakes!
So it's been a while since I've done anything major here, but I've been busy elsewhere setting up new social media accounts to get my work showcased (and more frequently than things happen on here!)
I'd like to invite you to follow me on the new pages where I am going by the name 'LaRella' (You'll understand why if you look at my Facebook banner!)

There are a few costumes I've said I'm doing over the past couple of years but have never quite got around to doing. I'm happy to say that I'm currently working on a costume that will definitely be seen through to the very end!

I like to challenge myself with each costume that I do, and although at first this costume looks quite simple (a couple of tank tops, cargo pants, and an assortment of weapons and props), there is a lot more to it than appears. The biggest challenge for me
This year I decided to enter my Aayla Secura costume in the Replica Prop Forum's Halloween Costume contest for 2012!
