Dark-Hunters: Valerius Magnus

Hopefully, the first of a series dedictated to some of the characters of the DH novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Just wanted to depict different aspects of this character's personality: the cultivated, exquisitely-manered and aloof Roman general and the "I'll show you what Romans do to rabid dogs" bad-ass Dark-Hunter.
Also, couldn't resist to paint him with blue eyes in his "official" portrait (hence the serious pose )

It has "only" taken me 2 fucking weeks to get it done... I usually like working with dark colours, but I have almost gone blind with so much black. On top of that, I've discovered that once the "digital paint" liquifies, you're royally screwed...
I'm not 100% happy with the final look of one of the faces, due to the aforementioned lil' problem, but I refuse to keep on working on it or I'll go totally mental. (That means I'll go back to it in a few days, being the idiot I am *rolls eyes*)

Done on Mac and adjusted accordingly. If it doesn't look dark on your monitor... you know what to do...
