Beautiful Anti-SJWs #8: Jaclyn Glenn

I mean, do I even really need to describe who Jaclyn Glenn is? She’s one of the most popular atheists on YouTube, a defender for gay rights, fierce critic of religion and regressive politics, beautifully talented singer, model, and so well-known for her secularism that even the famous Richard Dawkins is a fan of her work. Anyone who’s been active on YouTube within the past 8 years has at least some idea of who she is.

Jaclyn’s one of the people I was hoping to get to if this series was successful and popular (or even hated enough by the SJWs). For most of her work, she’s known more for her criticism towards religion and its affect on society, so to be perfectly honest, I didn’t really follow Jaclyn until I started getting interested in politics a few years ago. But needless to say that given her following, it would be an absolute sin to not include her in this series.

However, the concept for this one was BRUTALLY DIFFICULT, as I ended up starting from scratch no less than 3 times over the course of several months before settling on this one. It was a combination of thoroughly researching her videos, determining the appropriate sex appeal for her, looking at numerous religious artworks throughout different cultures, composition, and colour. So pretty much everything. 

Seeing as she’s known most for her videos relating to religion, it only made sense for most of the pieces in here to reflect that. The wallpaper was done as a combination of the baroque design seen in Christian works and a hellish feel to create a kind of juxtaposition. I used the design by GarryKillian as a starting point (link below) and then played around with colour to give the room an overall goth atmosphere, which is appropriate for her, due to her always jokingly associating with Satanism.

I also had to include the public drama with her ex-boyfriend Social Repose, along with the infamous Onision, as the doll returns from the Blaire White drawing. He’s since apologized for their feud, so I decided to be nice and not poke him like I did last time.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a complete Jaclyn Glenn without a glass of red wine, along with her beloved cats Tippy and Angel. They were actually pretty fun to draw, even though they were tricky to get right. They were a hell of a lot easier to do than Jaclyn’s face, which I had to completely redo multiple times.
