Your alarm woke you up forty five minutes before the crossover. Another day, another dollar, you thought.
Once you were dressed, you took two blood tablets then headed downstairs to meet up with everyone. “Hi, ____ did you sleep well,” asked the ever so sweet and kind Takuma.
“I slept just fine,” you answered giving him a kind smile.
Now why couldn't you have fallen for him, instead of Kaname? You found yourself asking.
Takuma was nice, handsome, a gentlemen. Kaname was cold; distant…handsome, sexy, had deep endless eyes that just made you melt. Damn.
All talk ceased which could only mean one thing. The Pureblood prince Kaname Kuran has arrived. You turned to face him as well, unable to resist temptation.
Looking at him reminded you of what happened between you two. You didn’t understand.
Didn’t his feelings lie with that human girl Yuki Cross? If so, then why did he get all upset when you asked him to stay away? You sighed in frustration. Plenty of time to think about that later, you thought.
As usual, the Day Class girls were shouting like there was no tomorrow. “I love you, Idol!” “Look over here, Wild!” “Takuma-sempai! Marry me!” and more. You found it humorous.
On cue, Kaname walked over to the Cross girl which irritated you. Hadn't he been acting like he wanted you, not too long ago?! You thought. Maybe he just wanted to fool with you. He must have known how you felt from the start!
With those thoughts in mind, you headed to class without waiting for Kaname.
Everyone arrived in class shooting glares at you and murmuring. You didn’t care. They weren't in your shoes, so they didn't know what you were going through, therefore, you thought they could all suck it.
The room went quiet, like in the lobby, when Kaname entered the room. You could tell that everyone was waiting in anticipation to see what their leader would do to punish you which was quite annoying.
Kaname walked up the few steps to get to his seat and well…sat down. He didn't even glance your way.
You couldn’t believe it, there was no way that he was letting you off the hook. “Um, aren't you going to punish me?” you asked, regarding him strangely. “Do you want me to punish you?” asked the Pureblood, not taking his eyes from the book that he was reading.
“Not at all, if you're good then so am I.” Just like that, you got away with what you did which everyone found fascinating because they started murmuring again.
All through the lesson, you kept taking glances at Kaname. Now he really was confusing you. First he acts all hurt when you tell him to stay away, then, he starts talking to that Yuki girl, and now, he lets you off the hook after you walked off like you weren't supposed to? Too many mixed signals, you needed to confront him.
Once the bell rang for everyone to leave class, you hopped out of your seat and went to talk to Kaname. “I think we need to talk,” you stated, getting right to the point. “About what exactly?” he asked, not meeting your gaze. You looked around the room to see if anyone was listening, before you continued.
“We need to talk about…us,” you said, trying not to blush. The brunette was silent a moment. “Come to my room.” That was all that he said, not giving you the chance to deny or accept.
You both arrived at his room, and he opened one of the grand wooden doors for you, like a gentleman.
He closed the door behind himself and took a seat on his red, velvety couch which was similar to the one downstairs. He patted the seat next to him and you took your time to walk over to him. You didn't want him to think you were eager to be with him or anything…
When you finally sat down, you sat a few inches away from him. Neither of you spoke, feeling the room with an awkward silence. “____” began Kaname, causing you to look at him “you've been avoiding me, haven't you? Why?” The question caused you to downcast your eyes.
“Well, Lord Kaname, it’s because…um….” You couldn't bring yourself to tell him. What if he didn't feel the same way and says no in that cold voice that he sometimes used with Aido? You didn't want to be an Aido!
“____” he said again, voice gentler this time “look at me.” You did and saw that he was smiling warmly at you. The smile that he would only give to Yuki or rather, the people that he cared about which weren’t many. “I love you” he said, earning a surprised gasp from you.
Was this real? You wondered. You really hoped that this wasn't a dream that you'd wake up from at any second.
“I love you, too” you whispered, blushing as red as an apple. Just then, Kaname cupped your cheek and started to lean closer and closer, until your lips finally met. The kiss was sweet yet passionate, just like the man giving the kiss. He didn't show it, but he was a sweet heart, one of the reasons why you loved him.
A female voice gasped in shock and you both whipped your heads around. To the both of your horror, there stood Yuki. She had her hand covering her mouth with tears in her eyes. “I’m sorry” she said before running out of the room with barely muffled sobs.
You looked at Kaname whose eyebrows were knitted together and lips were turned into a frown. Now you wished that this was a dream.
To be continued…^_^
