lol, cant say i have tried one, but i am guessing it would taste rather bad. as for poisonous, i dont think so, the prongs out the back are actually rather soft to the touch, so i am guessing they are to ward off predators, more then functional. I have handled a few of these little guys and never been stung, so they are either very placid, or not a threat to touch, like so many other insects around here.
