Taken for "intro to studio photography". The assignment was "desk". I chose to do Dungeons and Dragons, because it's awesome!

The fact you've used a 3.5ed rulebook with a 4E character sheet is driving me slightly insane >.<

But awesome work  :)

Hahaha that drove my husband insane, too! I definitely should have printed a 3.5 character sheet for the photo. At the time I was fairly new to D&D and I didn't realize there was a difference.

Love the dice - I still have my first set that I bought in the spring of '82.

Thank you! I have an ever-growing collection. That's awesome that you still have your first set!

Well, here they are - bought at a joint called the Bead Bazaar in March of 1982 near the Ball State University campus in Muncie, IN. (this was David Letterman's school, as well as Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield). We used to play D & D in the basement of the East Quad building in those days.  gulliver63.tumblr.com/image/14…

That is so cool! Sounds like really great memories. Nice looking set, too!

Thanks! Those are some great memories. The first time I actually got a look at the D & D books was in 1978.

It was a cool thing to be a part of. It was around the same time that I read about everything that Tolkein ever wrote.

Ah, yes! I've only read The Hobbit, but I've always planned to read the rest. He's a brilliant writer and a huge inspiration to all of fantasy, especially D&D!

Oh, I love D&D! It's been awhile since I've played, so I'll need refresh myself on the rules and what not. ^^; Anyway, this is a very nice picture. Wonderful shot. ;)
