"THE BAYOU BRAWLER" BRIANNA WEAVER
The year 2002 had to have been the luckiest of Brian Weaver's life! His newly wed wife pregnant with their first child, winning his first World Title after busting his ass for years in the midcard, Brian often wondered if there was a catch. Then, when his no-longer-baby-girl started pestering him about wanting to become a pro-wrestler herself, he knew it: The wrestling business had handed him the keys to a kingdom! And now, some odd 15 years later, it had come to claim his firstborn as its price! Still, being the daughter of a pro-wrestling star and a fitness instructor, was it really a surprise, young Melanie Brianna turned out the way she did? Brian eventually relented and sent her to his old friends' Duke Armstrong and Sharon Stronghold for training, saying the man, who gave him his career, was the only man on Earth, he trusted to take care of his pride-and-joy-daughter. He hoped, against better judgement, that infamously stern coach Sharon Stronghold would grind the wrestling idea right out of Mel's head. And she tried! However, taking martial arts and even some boxing lessions since an early age, Mel had long since become notorious at school as an "angel-faced ruffian". She was a fighter! Spitting at the idea of being just another gorgeous wrestling bombshell, she instead developed a roughneck brawling style to suit herself. She soon started prefering to wrestle the guys, rather than her fellow female trainees, many of whom she often described as "110 pounds of solid bimbonium". She sure was a headache at times, but nevertheless a zealous student. Now she is out there in the wild, left to her own devices. While perfectly capable of technical wrestling, she still prefers brawling. Given that she's from Florida, this gained her the moniker "The Bayou Brawler". Her middle name, Brianna, is actually in honor to her late grandfather, Brian Weaver Sr., but she uses it as her ring name as a reference to her father, who dominated Youngblood Championship Wrestling from 2002 - 2004 as World Champion.
