This is an updated costume from last year when I won Best Character in what was my first cosplay contest. This time around I had to ditch my train ticket and book a new one (about $100) because the judges told me I had to stay and recieve my prize --- luckily it was worth staying for because I won the award for Best Cosplay! So in 2015 I shall compete against around 9 other cosplayers who represent the best Sweden has to offer this year!

Wish me luck, I am still an amateur compared to most of them @__@

In three months a friend of mine will be competing in said competition in Stockholm (Cosplay SM) and *drumroll* she will be wearing a Diablo III Monk cosplay....!
I am terribly excited and whether she wins or not we will take pictures together~

Changes and additions to my cosplay:

This year I redid the Ceremonial Dagger;
I made a new feather plumage in white as per the artwork I try to mimic (which is also removable using velcro);
I covered my ugly horns with craft foam and painted them, slightly redesigning the shape (these also being detachable btw);
I finished the "thigh armor" to cover myself up more;
I made the "calf armor" which I had previously made the golden pieces for but with no "base";
I crafted the "wrist armor" from craft foam and painted it, all in three hours the day before I used it;
I redid some of the paint job on the mask - noticing I had completely forgotten to paint the "cheek armor"...!
I used the nice skull I bought in Kyoto and stuffed black craft foam in the eyes and nose to make them more noticable;
I made adjustments so that air could flow behind my mask so I wouldn't sweat constantly as before (which worked as a charm! Now I'm waiting for a fan to put in place), and lastly
I bought EL-wire (electroluminescent wire) in purple and put in place around my eyes (you can see a faint glow if you zoom in)!

Phew that's a lot of details...
