This drawing is kind of old, but I still like it. I remember back then there were was kind of a trend with paleoartists starting to make Cryolophosaurus into sort of a theropod polar bear, white with occasional furry insulation. I decided to give mine a much more traditional dinosaur appearance instead. We still don't know what it actually looked like.

I like Cryos. I really like the fluffy cute...

Hmmm...Cryolophosaurus lived in a cold environment, so I think it would be somewhat more realistic to give it feathers. Anyway, that's a good picture!

Was it really that cold, though? The sauropodomorph Glacialisaurus lived in the same environment, and it was almost certainly not feathered! If you know of any papers on the palaeoenvironment of these dinosaurs, please send me the citations and I'll get around to looking at them.

I wouldn't be surprised if every dinosaur there had some sort of insulation by way of fat and integument.

Hmmm...interesting point. Actually, I don't really know enough about this subject to argue about it this far. I'll look it up. Just a thought, but maybe Glacialisaurus had some kind of insulation...just a thought.
