Mr Happy 1 page 12 by Bracey100 Mr Happy 1 page 12 by Bracey100
The lamprey has been defeated but now Mr Happy needs to somehow save those people falling from the wrecked roller coaster. The solution Mr Happy comes up with actually took me a long time to figure out. I struggled with the idea of how to cancel out the inertia of the roller coaster. I thought about him making a giant catcher's mitt, a stunt man air bag, a trampoline and I even thought about the Jello gag a while back but I didn't think I could make it work. Several pages later and its time to figure it out and I go back to the Jello joke and it feels like it works no. Don't know why I gave it up before but a happy ending is a Mr Happy ending I guess.

Nice work, Bracey!
This may be early in Happy's crime fighting career, but his power set is still amazing.
He has to be one of the most powerful characters in the DCU.

Thanks man! Yeah he tends to just break physics a lot, but...no wait I don’t wanna give anything away just yeah. A lot of what’s happening wil make more sense by the end of this book.

Yeah while Mr Happy is not my Superman per say he’s gonna be top tier like a Green Lantern. His absurdity powers (I think I might just call them that from now on!) while let him hang with the big boys.

The idea I developed about 10 years ago now was that he could warp his personal reality. It’s a very localized thing which mostly simulates shape shifting but as things go on we will see him doing more and more implausible things.

By the way, did you mean the SCU?

Even though Jello is not a thing in my country and those famous commercials never aired here, I still get it :XD:
Praise the internet :D

And a very fitting way for Mr. Happy to pull of a rescue.

Dang I didn’t even consider some Western countries have never experienced the glory and power that is Jello. Praise the internet indeed!

Can’t wait to get the next page done so you can see the people being...ahem...”saved”.

Come on down, all! There's always room IN Jello! :XD:

Funny that. You get your muse back and start pumping out pages like you haven't done in years, meanwhile my own motivation is completely gone.
I think you and I have the same muse :paranoid:

That might be true, we do seem to have the same sense of humor. Guess we gotta learn to share.

There's no blood on mine and Watchmen didn't invent the smiley face emblem.

No they didn’t. The Commedian wore a smiley face button on his costume, a costume which was mostly leather bondage gear with Stars and Stripes shoulder pads. In the book there is no official symbol for the Watchmen as a group. The image of the button with the drop of blood was used on as the cover for the first book in the series and was so iconic that it has come to represent the Watchmen story overall.

I haven’t seen the cut of the movie with the cartoon incorporated into it. In the comic it was never their team symbol.
