Done for the DU November Challenge. I busted this out in a week (which was quite taxing and not up to my personal standards) breaking all my previous speed records. This will sever as something of a preview for how my Mr Happy comic will be as far as the hero himself is concerned. Flippant and versatile but not infallible.

Here's the comic that sets up the challenge: bracey100.deviantart.com/art/E…

One of the best original characters I've seen in ages. A fun yet eerie design and definitely makes you want to see more of what he can do

Hahahaha, I always find it amusing how much the smiley face lends itself to a creepy sensation for those observing it. A complete antithesis to what I designed him to be and yet (perhaps ironically) something I plan on exploring. And thanks for the high praise.

If i could create a du super hero i would have a crossover with mr happy the very first issue.

I would be honored if you did so.

Excellent intro, I love that 42X is excited to watch the "show"!

I wanted to establish that while Mr Happy's adventures have not yet been made public that he has existed in the DU and didnt just appear for the try outs.

Excellent, I love the thought you put into that.

Thanks, I so wanted to get in on the October challenge but just couldnt commit to it. But the Nov challenge is probably a far better intro for Mr Happy. The DU will give me a chance to flex my writing muscles for a wider audience than I usually have. Its a good primer for preparing for my own Mr Happy comics in the future. If I can entertain you guys with good art and well thought out stories I should be in good shape.

You know, I often feel I should buy comics put out by my fellow DA'ers, but my budget just can't always handle it.  I have a feeling I would make that exception for Mr. Happy books.

Im certainly honored you'd say that. Funny thing is Im so tired of the big companies that Im going to give some DA comics a shot, like Shono's Shadows of Oblivion.

Yeah, I try to keep up with DC, Marvel and others through news sites and scans, but I am lost.  I'll still pick up back issues I've wanted.  I tend to get satisfaction (more interactive satisfaction) by reading the talent on DA.  Thanks for the Shono shout, I will check it out.

Mr. Happy reminds me a lot of "The Mask". Love it. :P

Id say his main influences are The Mask, Plastic Man and old cartoons (WB and Tex Avery stuff). He basically has my sense of humor.

For some reason, the idea of Agent 42X saying the words "Mr. Happy" just cracks me up. I have a feeling I'm going to like this guy.

Its a weird word combo for sure. Triva: Mr Happy is what Robin Williams calls his penis (according to his Live At The Met performance).

Surprisingly, not very many shapeshifting heroes in the DU.

Well theyve got one more now!!! Booyah!

Mr Happy: You know what? It is!
(Mr Happy is now shaking his own hand as he introduces himself to himself).
