Death Battle Match Ideas: Mizuki

Since I haven't done one of these in a while, I figured I'd take another break from Scrooge vs Krabs and the several other matches I'm working on to do a few more lists for characters who are vastly underrated in the VS community. To start this off, I figured I'd go with one of my more recent waifus: Captain Mizuki, the musclebound B-Rank hero from One Punch Man.

Currently, not much is known about Mizuki's backstory. All we know is that she was a professional athlete who decided to become a hero and she admires the S-Class hero Superalloy Darkshine.

Yeah, I kinda wish there was a bit more background to her, but this is One Punch Man we're talking about. Outside of the main cast and a few side characters, no one has their backstory revealed to the reader. Let's just hope that what she lacks in background she makes up for in combat.

Connections: Muscular women who originate from superhero manga, hold respect and admiration toward strength, and gained waifu status upon their debut

Owned by: No one

Who I think wins: Not familiar with MHA, so I can't say

WII FIT TRAINER (WII FIT)

Connections: Blue-clad women who fight by performing fitness-related routines

Owned by: Myself

Who I think wins: Spoilers are bad

CHUN-LI (STREET FIGHTER)

Connections: Muscular, blue-clad women who fight for justice and have massive thighs

Owned by: No one

Who I think wins: Chun blitzes due to Mizuki lacking speed feats

Connections: Women who admire one of the series' heroes and have created a self-taught fighting style based on what they know (Sakura through her prowess as a fighting prodigy and Mizuki through her athleticism and powers)

Owned by: No one

Who I think wins: Probably Sakura, though Mizuki would make it difficult

RAINBOW MIKA (STREET FIGHTER)

Connections: Blue-clad women who admire a musclebound man (Superalloy Darkshine and Zangief)

Who I think wins: Spoilers are bad

LAURA MATSUDA (STREET FIGHTER)

Connections: Voluptuous, energetic women who hold respect for those with strength

Owned by: No one

Who I think wins: Not sure, but I’d be rooting for Mizuki

CAMMY WHITE (STREET FIGHTER)

Connections: Muscular women who specialize in close quarters and possess noticeable “assets”
Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: Cammy due to being faster, having a better arsenal of weaponry, and being more experienced

SHEEVA (MORTAL KOMBAT)

Connections: Muscular monster-slaying hero vs muscular monster woman
Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: Thinking Mizuki takes it due to being stronger, more durable, and having a versatility advantage thanks to her baton

Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: Mizuki due to being far ahead of Nora in strength and durability

Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: Mai by a landslide

TIFA LOCKHART (FINAL FANTASY VII)

ERINA GOLDSMITH (VARIABLE GEO)

Connections: Fanservice-y women who are experts in close quarters combat
Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: Thinking Mizuki due to being physically superior and having more versatility via her baton, though Erina’s powers and larger moveset would make it a close fight

JUN KUBOTA (VARIABLE GEO)

Connections: Buff waifus
Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: See above, but replace Erina with Jun

Connections: Optimistic, fanservice-y women
Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: Mizuki’s probably the stronger of the two, but Rushuna’s faster, more durable, more experienced, more intelligent, has a larger arsenal, and could boost her stats further with her Heightened State

SHANTAE (EPONYMOUS)

Connections: Ponytailed heroines who are extremely athletic, optimistic, and energetic
Owned by: No one
Who I think wins: They’re roughly even in strength and durability, but Shantae’s superior in terms of speed, has more versatility thanks to her arsenal and dances, has multiple ways to heal off whatever damage Mizuki could dish out, and has several items that boost her physicality even further
