So college is starting soon. I'm already moved in. So far I love Denton. Everyone is really nice, there's TONS of stuff to do. It's really cool.
My roommate is pretty cool. He doesn't talk much and stays out of the way, and when he is doing something it's playing synth or something. Neat.
And so it begins.
I contacted a few magazines locally asking for assignments. Mainly "Denton Lifestyles". Should be fun.
So the deal is I've been shooting with my 18-55mm "kit lens" for a long time now. I feel the need for a higher-quality lens, or a few.
I was wondering what some of you photographers (whom are better than I) use/prefer for certain situations. What do you recommend? Prices? etc.
In addition, I need a bigger camera-bag, and it needs to be pretty discreet. I'm tired of the giant "THERE'S AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA IN HERE" logo.
I use a Nikon D-40, by the way. I plan to upgrade some day, but not any time soon as this camera does exactly what I need it to.
