Why are you so upset? by Boschian-Fantasies Why are you so upset? by Boschian-Fantasies
Yeah Jun, watching that live action Tekken movie is hours of my life I can never get back.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Tekken series, but I don't take them seriously like the creator of this film did. I mean, I enjoy Tekken for being dumb campy fun, kind of like watching a B-grade Asian cult classic film. The movie took this wild series too seriously and turned it into a generic action film that looked like it was filmed in 1985 instead of 2010.

Shame on you Dwight H. Little. Shame of you.

Video game movies always suck. (Except Wreck-It Ralph, Angry Birds, Ratchet and Clank, Tomb Raider, Doom etc.)

To me, Hollywood needs to leave video games alone.

This is why I only watch Japanese fighting game moves in animation form never ever in live action form because I still remember watching the street fighter live action movie years ago and being horrified.

Which live action Street Fighter movie? The first one, or the even worse "The Legend of Chun-Li"?

I was referring to the terrible US street fighter movie they did back in 1994, as they put me off live action fighting game movies for life.  I just don't feel that anime or manga translates well to screen because movie makers make to much about the action and forget the deep set humanity themes and ideals and questions brought up by characters.

Personally I'm seriously dreading the shitty US ghost in the shell live action movie I think it will be a train wreck. The only film I was ever okay with fighting game characters being there was wreck it Ralph but that worked because it was sort in the context that they were playing there roles as the characters but knew that they weren't the real people and that being in the arcade was just there job.

Worst part? There's a sequel to the 2010 film!

It originally wasn't going to be a "Tekken film", but last minute executive meddling made it that way. At least I have the animes.

I think Rumble Roses might be safe from Hollywood...
