The lighting and color on this thing is fantastic mostly, and I really love the way the green and orange blend in this. The bubbles almost look sparkly in the light. I especially like the lighting on the dinosaur-like creature on the left. However, I feel like the white on the right is a bit TOO overpowering and could be toned down a bit.

While I understand they're supposed to be in the background, I feel like the two dinos are a bit TOO muddy and I can barely see them.

Also, the bubbles are a nice touch and I think they really give this piece life but maybe you could add a few near the largest dino's mouth or fins or the fins of the background ones so it's a bit more consistent as well.

Overall, nice composition and great job.

what do you mean by stock? so many different things, I just don't see where you "used" them (what's a stock?)

Oh Noes! another Wakeman listener on dA! Not many of us sad to say, but to date myself I bought the album when it first came out. Ya know, those big vinal disks that scratch on the cardboard sleeve
Would love to see what you would do with Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds.

This submission looks like something you would see in a children's book. It just captures a lot of excitement and wonder without it being so threatening and gloomy. The only thing I would suggest is to reduce the amount of whiteness on the upper-right hand corner of the piece. If that's light that is generated from the sun hitting the water's surface, it would be best to have some rays of light coming from the light source. I see you have a little bit of that, but you could theoretically raise the opacity of the rays of light and tone down the overexposed white in the corner.

Otherwise, I love what you did with it. I think this would make a fantastic book cover for something like, "Journey To The Center Of The Earth."

Astonishing! The deepen you get, the deepest the secrets.

Only after dowloading the image I was able really apreciate the dimension of the work done, how subtle each and every element was selected and placed into scene with the right colors and proper composition to get the right atmosfere. The detail on each and every element on the piece is just amaizing, I can really feel the ages it took to the creature to grow just by exploring its skin, the stock image has some details its after your subtle sparkles are applyed that age comes to the equation.

I have to say that im a bit bothered by the strong overexposed light at the top right. It may seem logical, since we want to see the deep we have to overexpose even the most subtle touch of light from the surface, even it its miles away. at the beginning I tought for the composition was a little distracting but after watching it over and over again I came to realize that it is necessary to get the strong dark areas needed for the deep effect and with the aid of the submarine its almost imposible to see the light instead of the jaws.

The top left and top bottom rock ledges gives the impression of being in the entrance of the abyss, that impression is enhaced by the subtle prescence of a second beast near the bottom and enforced by the use of fish and subtle color changes to draw water volume. Particles add turbulence in the water witch makes me feel uneasy, great!

excellent work!

Well, I can't really critique much with manips, but here it goes.

It looks almost digitally painted, which I guess is a good thing. There's no visible "cuts" in between the stock images used, which is the main thing that puts me off manips. The concept looks quite good to me as well, great size contrast between the dinosaur and the submarine thing.
