Morag Ladair thought it was a little curious at first when Brighid started pushing her own meals onto her whenever they stopped to rest on their journey. It began simply enough the first time, though. The young inquisitor barely had the time to finish her own plate of food (typically curry, as that seemed to be what Pyra and Rex were best at making) before her loyal Blade and trusted companion would place a second dish on her lap.
"You should have the rest of this, Morag."
"What are you doing, Brighid? You might be a Blade, but that doesn't mean that you have to simply give up eating."
"Oh, it's nothing like that. I want YOU to eat it. Morag, I know better than the rest of how hard you fight. You fight to protect both yourself AND me. I know that you do, even though you don't have to. So you need to eat and keep your strength up. If you try too hard, you could fail, and for us, we can't afford to fail even once.
