I should have the new Morsely Reprehensible up by late tomorrow my time, so look forward to that^^.  I hope you like it, because if you don't, that little project is going to die real fast.

I figure I may as well make this my journal, because I have a lot to say.

Firstly, the story: Ok, some of you will remember I had something planned? Well, this is it. My own, personal series, using my own characters. The idea behind this is simple: I will write around 10 stories, each one following completely different characters. The only link is that they are from the same Town: Morsely, hence the full title, Morsely Reprehensible. Why reprehensible? because each story will revolve around exploring the different "ways" of mind control, usually featuring a device (in this case, the classic hypnosis coin/watch) and an outcome (here, It's post-hypnotic suggestion)

Now, obviously, It says Day 1 in the title. I expect all of the stories to be separated into segments, as these are meant to be much longer than my usual work (so I can build on characters) This one is planned to have 3 parts, the 1st part you can see here. Obviously, this one is fairly tame by my standards. That will most certainly not be the case for the rest. This story is a teaser for the rest. Which leads to my next "big" announcement:a new blog. In order to escape DA's more "tight" security, the rest of the story will be posted on a blog that I will set up, for everyone to view. Therefore, you can expect the content I usually save for Rosvo's group (I warn you know though, It isn't very good). I will post a link to the blog once I've got it running.

Finally, a list of the ideas so far (I haven't got many). I'll update as more come along:

2.  Device: mind wipe/control with computers or control chip
Outcome: (you guessed it ) Robots
3. Device: Pheremones
Outcome: Sexual slavery (the psychological inability to live without the sexual contact with a certain someone, leading to obedience. I have some very "nice" plans with this one.

This was a bitch to draw, but I felt the urge, so I did it. It took two afternoons work, and it's still not very good. I know. I suck at the human anatomy. This picture actually depicts something I have planned for the next story, but I liked the scene so much I decided to put it here as a teaser. Enjoy (or dont. You probably won't).

Well, I think that's everything I wanted to say. Please comment, I crave the mindless exitement of it.

I'm mainly writing this as a chance to refresh my journal space, but what the hell: Kingdom Hearts :358/2 Days is just stunning. I only really noticed how much I loved the game when I was playing one of the late levels,  where you fly in Neverland and fight a giant flying treasure box...thing (bear with me) but it compelled me to write this so:

First, the bad. The Camera. It's terrible. When you run in a straight line, you seem to vanish into a mesh of pixels, and the constant changing of camera angles is also frustrating.  Also, the ammount of text based cut scenes. I came to look forward with reverence to scenes with voices, because they were just so rare. I realize that making the animated bits would be hard work, but having to sit for 15 minutes reading through some dialog about hearts and such is just plain boring. Also, because it has less quality graphics in these scenes, your left with bowed heads and weird sigh noises as your only real means of seeing emotion.

However, that's the bad. The good starts with the graphics. My god, the graphics. Seriously, it seems weird to think that the DS was capable of this kind of output after so many 2D, bland games on the Dual Screen. I'd say its only competitor would be the Final Fantasy games, and since they're made by the same department, it's fairly obvious which company seriously considers graphics in games. The heartless are so beautifully created, so cute, so awesome it seems a shame to defeat them. There are  so many of them, and even though the trademark "key mashing" of all KH games disposes pretty much all of them, It's still a joy to watch. The worlds are well created,  and fun to explore, while the cut scenes that are voiced are as good as the PS2 games (heck, some of the videos are from the PS2 games)

The combat system, which I mentioned, has not changed much. Option of button mashing, which kills pretty much everything or magic (which is pretty much ignored until the latter stages of the game). The addition of Limit breaks ensures that if you are close to dieing, you will kill everything around you fairly quickly, or go down like a fucking hero. Seriously, Its epic. Lazer beams, super speed, You name it. Also the panel system, while at first sounding like a drag, is actually really neat, and  it  makes customation that much funner. Keyblades are, as always, great.

Story wise, maybe a little too long, but its well paced. You can easily just do a mission or so in the afternoon, as a way to waste time. Levels are long, and some are very annoying (chasing a super fast bell thing, for example. Man, I hate those.) but generally fun. The story is engaging, and well paced, though I have yet to finish it. The characters are good, and the sub-plots are interesting.

Overall, one of the best games for the DS. Not the best, I grant that, but up there. Definitely.

First off, an explanation of why my last story took so long. The most prominent reason is that I just didn't have the motivation, or a good enougth idea, for a story. The second reason is that I've been very busy with school and various other activities, and I completely forgot about stories for quite a while.

Now, onto what I said in the title. I've grown uncomfortable with writing these stories. When I first started, I was anxious to write, and generally felt pretty good about it. But lately, particularily as I wrote about subjects that didn't interest me (which I probably shouldn't of done) I didn't feel good doing it, and thats really my chief motivation for writing. So basically, I'm quitting.

HOWEVER. A little complication has arisen thats annoyed the hell out of me. After writing that last story, I've felt myself compelled to keep writing. Therefore, I guess I should just call this a temporary retirement. At the moment, the only thing thats gunna make me want to write again is picture by Rosvo that I like ALOT.

Oh, and one more thing. a bit of an explanation of my last story. I got a flurry of ideas while I was working on Monday, and they all sort of came into this. As I said before, the main point of it was to experiment with trying to make the hypnosis as realistic as possible. I also wanted to tie up a few loose ends, as well as change the plotline of the previous stories, which I felt were too formulaic. This story, I think, wraps up the story pretty well ,and im fairly happy with it.
