this is utter perfection.  I hold your work in still life in high reguards. Putting old masters to shame. I am a bit of a snob and do not give complements lightly. I confess that I am gelous and envious of your skill for/because admiration is undeniable. yet you inspire, showing others what is possible.

The lighting and textures are amazing. Especially details like the wet parts for the wood on the knife handle. The mandarin slices are very eye catching and the colours are flush and just right. The wood texture on the table is pretty realistic, especially with the waves of grains and the soft shadows are very pleasant to look at.

The reflection on the blade retouches the realism of this shot, as do the scattered droplets.

This is probably my favorite painting, it's highly realistic, very unique and traditional and gives me a positive impulse

I fell in love with this still life ever since I saw it the first time at AW.

The ice-cold water in the glass, the water droplets, the knife's worn-out handle... Yum-yum! :yum:

Ah, it's painting like these that make we want to cry! the light is perfect - as is that strange orange screen in the background - I don't know what it, but I don't care - it lends a great compositional element. Thanks for creating art that lets people feel there is perfection in little places.
