Queeny's Little Subjects

TL;DR: A mock-up of a short story I might make in the future.

Okay so last night I like totally had a really nice dream. Usually my dreams are just a normal school day, and then I wake up and I have to repeat my dream...for real. Really boring stuff. It was a pretty vivid dream (maybe it was one of those lucid ones?), but it inspired me to make this pic/characters today.

BUT anyways to the point! The dream was about some seemingly bratty chica who shrinks unsuspecting people and brings them back to her house for her to "rule" over. She thinks of her captives as subjects, and if a subject is faithful/obedient they receive a little promotion and get the privilege of being larger than the average subject, and also are put in charge of keeping the peace over the average sized subjects. We'll call 'em "bruisers" (the subjects who receive size promotions) for now. Whenever "Queeny" goes out to work, the "bruisers" are in full charge. Any rebellious subjects are punished and either disposed of or simply shrunk even smaller by "Queeny"... and smaller and smaller if they continue to show no signs of obedience until *poof*. Your typical captive/subject would have to do whatever she demanded, like fetch her pencils, or paint her nails, or give her finger massages and all kinds of meaningless and pointless tasks.

So that's what I got out of the dream. It seems like a fairly dark setting but but I realized there's some interesting possibilities for a story here. So after being fully awake, I thought of the idea of a male protagonist (in the center) who gets captured by this girl (code named "Queeny" for now), and several things happen...

1. The protagonist guy tries to rally up the other captives to plan an escape.
2. The "bruisers" aren't very fond of this idea since they enjoy their position of dominance.
3. The protagonist develops a romantic interest in one of the fellow subjects.
4. "Queeny" develops a crush on the protagonist, but he doesn't like her back since she's such a beotch, this leads to her being jealous and potentially violent towards the protagonist's love interest.
5. Near the end the protagonist finds out why "Queeny" kidnaps people, which changes his previously negative opinions of her as a person. It'd be related to life outside of her house which shows a side of her that her captives never get to see.

The render is a mock-up of "Queeny" (the largest), the main protagonist (the guy in the center), a dollhouse where she'd make all of her subjects live, a "bruiser" leaning on the house, and some other random subjects walking around the dollhouse.

This would end up being a short story and it wouldn't be on-going like City of Supers. It'd have a beginning, a middle, an end. I think I feel like tackling it over the summer. For now I'll just do my usual antics though. But enjoy these mock-up renders I made today. I have one more on the way possibly. I might abandon it though so no promises.
