3 months and no journal! It's been a very busy time in my life, that and I'm quite superstitious. I left my job on the weather desk at the Press Association in December, and started as a graphic designer for the marketing team at Wren, a kitchen company that has its head offices locally! It's a really great position, and though I've not spent an awful lot of time there on account of Christmas and the New Year, but I'm looking forward to it now we're into 2011!

I finished Journey to the West, a fitting start to the four-part epic, but I don't think I'll be picking up the other three volumes for a while. Now, however, I'm onto the Jeeves Omnibus 1, a ripping collection of stories by P. G. Wodehouse. The print is rather large and the pages quite thick, yet I'm not even a third of the way through! This troubles me a little, as the passing of Christmas has given me a few more books to read!

For the New Year, the family went to London, which was absolutely marvellous... that is until it struck quarter-past midnight and chaos erupted! Roads were closed, tube stations too. My friends and I traipsed across town looking for an open tube station, we ended up, after seeing the fireworks on London Bridge, to being behind Buckingham Palace! A fair distance I'll tell you! Shan't say much more, because I've sent post cards out and wouldn't want to spoil that!

Happy New Year to all, may 2011 be fruitful and exhilarating!!

P.S. I finished the Johto section of Soul Silver, and considering it said 'The End' after the credits, I'm going to count the game as finished, I'll complete the Kanto gaiden in my own time... on to other games!
