A boy resides in his apartment, asleep on his bed. The sun shines its rays through his window. His weary eyes open as he slowly rises up. He steps off of his bed and turns to his wall, admiring the many posters depicting the many rangers, riders, Space Sheriffs, and Ultra brothers as much as the wall could hold.
He notices a poster giving out on his wall. Thus begins the drastic search for a push-pin. Once he started the investigation, the search party was over once he encountered the pin in the heel of foot. Many expletives and one band-aid later, he picked up the pin and got on his bed to put the pin back in its place.
That is when his phone rang. He irritatingly put the pin on his desk and answered his phone to whoever dared to call him at 9:00 in the morning. "Hey Joseph, where are ya at?" a familiar voice said. "Oh, hey Aaron" Joseph replied. "I've been waiting for you outside for an hour, where are you?" Aaron said irritated. Joseph sighed in intolerance, "Dude, what did I tell you about taking you to the McDonald's drive-thru?" "No not that," Aaron replied "I meant the beta of Final Ranger." Joseph jolted up "That's today!?" he yelled. "Yeah," Aaron said. "Give me a minute!" Joseph said hanging up. Joseph sped through the house getting his clothes, keys, and then starting his car.
Joseph drove up to Aaron's house in the field away from town. Aaron was still waiting outside since the phone call. He hopped in Josephs car bothered. "Jeez how long did you take to get ready?" Aaron said, still irritated "Well, we're not late, now are we?" Joseph rhetorically asked. Aaron folded his arms and looked out the window, not wanting to put up with Josephs non-existent tardiness. "You would have had to wait anyways, we still have to pick up the others." Joseph responded.
He then drove to the rich part of town to pick up his next friend, Jeff. His car approached the gate to wait for him to come out. Jeff walked to Josephs car and got in. "Hello Joseph, Aaron, I see that today is the day." Jeff said as Joseph began driving. "Apparently Joseph forgot," Aaron replied still annoyed. "Dude don't start..." Joseph went. "No worries," Jeff said "I just hope you trained like I did." Joseph rolled his eyes "Its a video game, you have the skills going in," he says "Now we just have to pick up Cat."
Joseph drives up to a small house. He honks the horn to let her know he is here. No response. He honks again. Same result. "Ugh," Joseph complained "She's listening to music again." He pulls out his phone and calls her. Cat answers the phone, music still blaring in the background, "Sup," she answered, "Where are you?" replied Joseph. "In my house? Why?" she responded unaware of Joseph's presence. "We're outside, it's the day of the beta, remember?" Joseph informed her. "OH SHI-" Cat hung up and dashed to Joseph's car and got in. "I'm so sorry about that!" Cat said frantically. "No problem," replied Joseph. "At least you apologized" complained Aaron. "AARON!" everyone said, bothered by his complaining.
Joseph arrives at the last house. He honks the horn once more. The last friend comes out with a backpack full of Dungeons And Dragons, Hyperforce, Yu-Gi-Oh, and other tabletop game related things. Joseph waved at her smiling. "I see you still have the hots for Bee," Cat teased. "N-No!" Joseph fibbed, "Okay fine, I do, but can you blame me?" Cat laughed at Joseph. "You better not tell her." Joseph said. "I won't, jeez" Cat replied. Bee got in the car as the conversation ended. She sat down right near his seat and put her backpack in the space in front of her. "H-Hey Bee, nice to see you..." Joseph said nervously. "Hey, nice to see you too Joseph!" she said with her lisp. "Next stop, Oliver Tech headquarters!" said Joseph heading there.
They finally reach the Oliver Tech headquarters. They sit down in each of their reserved seats in front of the presentation stage. A man comes up on the stage, he gets the mic set up. "Hello everyone," he says "As you may know I am Theodore Harrison, thank you all for coming. Is everyone ready to be the first to try Final Ranger?" The crowd cheers. "Great!" Harrison says "Your X.O.A.D's are under your chairs." Everyone puts on the V.R. equipment and drifts to the game world.
Harrison turns off the microphone and heads to the computer in his office to make sure the servers are working. He sits down in his computer chair and opens up the database and files for the server. Everything seemed satisfactory except there was a random executable file in the database. Harrison stared confused on its presence. Yet he understood, his computer was often unorganized so this was nothing out of the ordinary. He dragged the icon to the desktop so he could deal with it later, only to have it pop back in its place in the server files. Harrison then tried to put it in the Recycling Bin, a random executable was no real loss to him, especially on a work computer. Once again, no dice. Harrison rolled his eyes in impatience "Thanks Hasbro..." he said upset. Harrison finally decided that the only thing left to do is launch it and pray that it is not Senran Kagura.
He double clicked the icon. To his luck, it was not Senran Kagura. It was worse. Immediately without hesitation, the computer shut down, and the power went out. Harrison panicked, realizing that the players could be stuck. He dashed out of his office only to see that the X.O.A.D.'s were still functional.
Harrison proceeded to his office relived, he got back on his computer and booted it up to try to see if it worked.
Once the he logged on he was greeted by none other than Master Odysseus and his minions. Harrison fell out of his chair in fear of the image on his screen. "Theodore Harrison...." Odysseus said, "It's time for you and your players to pay for what the Power Rangers did to us..."
