Eosinopteryx was an adorable paravian theropod from China that’s placed outside the maniraptor group. The only fossil found shows no evidence of the leg-wings or tail fan normally expected of little feathered dinos.

It’s for sale for $175.
That is less than you would spend to have a duck mounted by your local taxidermist, and ducks are not one of a kind. O:

Made of foam, epoxy clay, resin, glass eyes, and quail feathers and feet with a few parakeet feathers on a wood base. It’s balanced on one toe with a second support wire hidden in the plant.

I'd also like to take this moment to mention that I’m basically always willing to trade for pretty feathers, including 'common' ones like parakeets. O:

These are awesome! I swear, the second that I'm no longer a poor grad student, I'm getting one of these for my office.  What a cool use of materials.
