RAMAYANA : Characters Designs

RAMAYANA : Characters Sketches.

One of Indonesia’s MEDIA MOGUL ( i like the sound of that )has asked me to do concept and design for Hindu Epic ‘ Ramayana’ feature film. Along the way, the concept changed to animation series, so i make few adjustment here and there. Later on, the mogul toil with the ideas, this time he wants to build theme park! Can you imagine how stressed i got, when this Lex Luthor character asked me ( nicely though) for a meeting ? Later he wants comic book too...Comics are fine, i love comic, easier to make.
These days this mogul ( almost) settle with animation series plan. He’s getting nowhere with his theme park plan and ( almost ) forget about the feature film.
But now he wants to develop online game too based on the animated series.
I’m not allowed to release the colored version, or names of these characters,
i even gotta sign credential papers to release this one, hehehe.
Hope y’all like this as much as i do, maybe you’ll help us decide what these characters best turn into ( movie, animation, comic , online game or theme park ? ) Nuff said!

PS: If you want to know more about the Ramayana just go online , a lots of scripts
and references about this Hindu epic available on the internet. It didn’t get a lot of exposures as Lord Of The Rings epic though, but it’s actually as good, if not better.
It’s got elves, troll, ogre, giant, cool monsters, great love story, lovable characters
( and they’re not halfling ) best of all, its got powerful, high flying ape king!
If i ever make this movie i swear i will hire Rick Baker to do the apes make up!
