Been busy with my internship at CRRC MA, the company supplying the new subway cars for the MBTA's orange and red lines. I'm working on content for the Illustrated Parts Catalog, and am having to build some simple models from scratch due to difficulty getting the good ones over from China. Interpreting improperly dimensioned schematics can be frustrating to say the least. My boss, who is the only one in the engineering department with any real experience with trains (having worked some 24 odd years for Kinko Sharyo), says there is a good chance of my position becoming permanent if I do good work. I am excited and somewhat wary as my background
Took the FE (fundamentals of engineering) exam for civil engineering last wed. I just found out I passed! So I am now officially an engineer in training (EIT certified). This is going to help a lot getting a job.
