After my last autumn trip, I did notice a change in behaviour with my now 19 year old cat who really didn't like being left alone for a few weeks. So I need to stay grounded around home unfortunately in the foreseeable future, taking caring of an aging cat with ongoing urinary problems. Still many leftover photos though from my Wales trip to process on a rainy day, was super happy to travel there in 2018 and again in January 2019 around Snowdonia
Last time I had visited before that was in my teens around 1996... when I was much more interested in reading about Arthurian Legends + Celtic lore, and simply marveling at the sights without camera. Still fascinated with Celtic culture, in fact I consider my heritage more Welsh than British. England has Saint George as their patron saint reputed for dragon slaying, yet Wales proudly displays a dragon on their flag... perhaps a subtle symbol of defiance & identity separate from Anglo-Saxons. Not to mention how kickass dragons are considered in popular culture and fantasy!
Definitely a country I want to return to, perhaps even retire in as I would think it rather poetic for a child born in the New World going back to my roots and (literally) my mother land
