I am amending fongmingyun

) with an explanation because I think that it is a necessary step towards a resolution.
First off, please understand that I think we can all agree on the fact that it was no one's intent or desire to have caused such grief on either end of this discusssion. Ultimately, I feel that the root of this problem comes down to a ridiculously simple miscommunication exacerbated by numerous misunderstandings. That being said, I don't feel it right to place explicit blame on any one person, given the true intentions of everyone involved.
This studio is the culmination of artists gathered together through art communities all with the common interest of advancing and promoting their own art, as well as the art of others, and all of whom have become friends through the years. Through this time, the idea of an art book was mentioned several times, and from what I recall - but please, correct me if I'm wrong - Catherine led in supporting the idea quite some time ago. Ultimately, not much came to fruition at that time, but it was an idea that would reappear every now and again.
Fast forward a bit (years, in fact) and the idea comes up once again, but this time it is far closer to the realm of possibility. We have had much more time to develop our work, gained more experience in regards to the back end of things, and had someone who was willing to dedicate a lot of their time to try to make it all come together. Even though we had little in terms of project funding, we began giving it serious consideration and started doing what we could to move forward with it. Though contact with Catherine had been sporadic for quite some time, we have all known her to be a warm, humble person as well as a truly talented artist, and as such felt it right to include her at least in the initial plans- this is where things start to go a bit awry.
We had a member of our group try to contact her through Facebook and a few phone calls; two fairly reliable methods of contact. Understandably, not everyone checks their Facebook and cell phones aren't always on/charged- but the effort was given. Her name was included in the initial planning, not for deceptive purposes, but as a friend would credit another for her support and leave the possibility of entry open once plans began to take off.
Conclusively it was a mistake that lead to a misunderstanding. I don't think anything more needs to be said about the matter, but I believe that anyone who has put an effort forth for promoting and/or supporting us deserves an explanation.
