General Lee

Here's a 69 Dodge Charger customized into #01, the General Lee for Gaslands.

I feel like I should say that the presence of the confederate flag does not signify my celebration of the flag or what it stood for. I just wanted to make an iconic car from tv and the Charger was the first that I found.

UPDATE: This apparently was a Daily Deviation! Wow! My first DD! I have a bunch more vehicles and terrain that I'm working on and now I'm really enthused about them!

If-You'd have the funds...Would You find Your own '69 Charger, and make a 'General Grant'-out of it? The colors'd be swiched...Car is dark blue, '01' is orange with white outline, Union flag-on top, the horn-blaring 'Battle Hymn Of The Republic'...It'd be a 'hit' in New England...
It's a shame-the show wrecked-so many automobiles...adding the 'iconness' to the price of examples-left. Even the 1977 Plymouth Fury Sedan (Roscoe's cruiser) have become hard to 'come by'-since.

Ooo! I really like the idea of a flipped-to-the Yank Lee. I just might make that.

Perhaps-as one of Your sculptures? That'd be Awesome! Since You were the first person-I've ever mentioned this-to.

WOW!

(And while I certainly recognized the General Lee, thanks for adding the disclaimer for people younger than some of us...)

I agree, dvrgaryc: it does look like something out of the "Mad Max" canon. Looks wicked cool! And the 69 Charger is a badass piece of machinery to begin with. I think you did well finding the General Lee: it's probably one of the most iconic TV cars that was actually merchandised in miniature collectibles (try finding the Knight Industries Two Thousand or the red Torino... or the 1966 Batmobile).

Looks even more badass than it was on the show! Great job pimping it out! (I think that's the correct term; if not, someone please correct me.)

The Gaslands game that I made this car to be used in definitely has a "Mad Max" vibe, with post-apocalyptic cars driving around and shooting each other up.

It didn't start out as a General Lee. Just a normal Hot Wheels 69 Charger from Walmart. I stripped the paint off, repainted it orange and applied decals. And then, of course added a still and a giant bow!

It still looks wicked cool! The still on the back is a perfect touch, whether it's used as a fuel tank or whether Bo and Luke are hauling moonshine (can't make shine without a still, right?).

Absolutely!  The still was my favorite part that I just HAD to include to make it different.

Thanks! That was my favorite part too. I imagine they're brewing something so potent, they can dump it into their gas tank for a boost of speed!

I'm digging the crossbow Grill combination. It doesn't make sense but it looks awesome.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense at all, does it!

COOL!

Not familiar with Gaslands, but when I saw this, I immediately thought this is the result of mixing The Dukes of Hazzard with Fury Road.

It's a cool game where you use hot wheels cars (usually modified for a post-apocalyptic look) to race and destroy other player's cars. You should check it out!
