So Blue, the ground by Bogbrush So Blue, the ground by Bogbrush
For seven years I drove to work through Ashridge Forest, and every Spring I told myself that I would stop and look at the bluebells. It wasn't until I was made redundant that I made the time.

Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the bluebells.

Picture taken with a Nikon Coolpix 2100.

So many bluebells. They contrast well with the yellow-green leaves of the trees.

Thanks :)

Aye, the wood is full of them for about two weeks, it's trying to catch them at a good time is the fun part. I was lucky that year that the trees were coming into leaf at about the same time. This year there weren't any leaves on the trees when the bluebells were out.

I took my photo at Hodnett, in Staffordshire. :D I walked around there rather camera- happy I have to admit, I don't think I'd had the camera for long then.

I'd only had the camera about a month at the time so I was the same. I think I took an entire memory card of pictures in Ashridge that day.

Lilac breath touched
Moist forest grounds
Heavenly touch
Amidst spring trees
Breathing lavender haze
Sweetly
In light ~ blue bells sing
Gorgeous smell
Delightfully scented
The air

Perfect! That really sums up the time I was visiting the woods. As I was unemployed at the time I was there mid morning and I had the place all to myself. Cheers for the :+fav: too.

Thank you. I just wish the bluebells would last a little bit longer, they're only out for 2 - 3 weeks.

I love how green the trees are...
I mean, green trees arent especially pretty or anything, but the way they contrast the bluebells...
wow.

Amazing place..., good work! The trees are Fagus species?

Hehe, I had to look up what 'Fagus' meant but yes they are. They're Copper Beeches - Fagus Sylvatica. I had to look that up too ;)

Thanks!, Those trees are so beautiful!!. Here in Chile we have "Nothofagus", because of the similarity of our ROBLES to your COPPER BEECHES.
