In memory of Ralph Mcquarrie. One of my favorite illustrators / conceptual artists.

I've had a lot of trouble choosing between red and blue for the color of the smoke. I feel like red was an obvious choice because it is, after all, Darth Vader. However the blue blends much better with the black, and hides certain areas that I didn't want to pop out. Also, Darth Vader doesn't ALWAYS have to be in red.
This scene takes place right after Luke and Vader have a moment. It's the first time you almost see Vader's fatherly love for Luke. Here, Vader is more concerned than spiteful, another reason why I chose blue over red.
