Drawing ponies for over 9 years now... first time doing a collaboration with another artist! XD
But in all seriousness, this was a fun little thing to do with @Lummh. If you like my silly Starlight/Sunburst stuff, they give their "What About the Future" series a look, you'll love it!
Your first heads up from me, Equestria Daily's annual 'Artist Training Ground' event begins June 1st! Get your art materials/media of choice ready!
For those who've never heard of it or participated before essentially you'll be given 30 prompts over 30 days (With a few rest days in-between) There's no commitment to doing all the prompts, you're more than able to dip in and out as you please. Most of the time, the fun (For me at least) comes from trying to find a funny way to interpret the prompt wording.
To give you a quick example, this was my response to last years 'Draw a pony cheering up a friend' prompt:
For those in the UK, the last couple of years prompts have been posted at roughly 5AM BST, allowing for a full days worth of brainstorming/drawing, though naturally timings could change this year, don't take my word for it!

So, is the 'Add to Groups' function broken for anyone else?
I click on it, and it just compresses and the groups into very thin bars and shoves them all over to an inaccessible left hand part of the menu. Going through is simply a case of clicking on a tiny part of the screen and hoping for the best...
Sadly, with each passing day, Deviantart seems to become less and less user friendly...
Something I've been meaning to do for a long time now, and briefly did at one point, before chickening out after having an account for all of four hours...
I'm now on twitter! But not under the name you might be used to.
Personally speaking, I feel the social side of DA has plummeted since the switchover. It's almost as if the new approach to this website is 'Post art! Click the 'fav' button! Move along!' by how much more laborious typing out a comment has become. It genuinely makes me feel 'cut off' from everyone else, even more so since the new DA won't work at all on my tablet, meaning the only way I can access stuff here is by firing up the desktop computer.
It's one of the causes for me feeling quite down as of late, so hopefully, now that I can be a bit more active. I might start to feel a bit better about myself.
Don't worry though, I'm still posting art here and slowly getting through comments. Nothing's change, there's just a new outlet for people who'd prefer it.
You've no idea how many years I've wanted to have this announcement accompanied by the music that goes with the announcements from 'Control' in Starlight Express. 2020 is the year it seems!
T -8 Hours till the beginning of Equestria Daily's annual Artist Training Ground event!

Calpain will have a proper post explaining all the ins and outs of submitting images when the event starts.
