Sue Knocked Out by Namor (Commission)

I've always thought the relationship between Namor and Sue was very interesting. Him wanting to court her. Kidnapping her only to make her his bride etc. In the comics there have been many moments like that. Below there's two scenes from Fantastic Four Vol 1.

     

This commission is kind of an extension or an alternative angle of the scenes in Fantastic Four Vol 1 027 where Namor knocks Sue out with sleeping gas and then kidnaps her to Atlantis.

This commission is based on that tale but, in this image Sue Storm (a.k.a. the Invisible Woman) just faints at first sight after seeing Prince Namor. Luckily for him (and us) he was just in time to grab her limp upper body and we get a nice dramatic pose that would have made one hell of a cover..

I just commissioned it. The piece was excellently drawn by zanfadar and brilliantly coloured by StriderDen and I really love the sheer helplessness of the powerful Invisible Woman, knocked out in this image; Her limpness and open mouth, everything. Enjoy!
