"It is said that in the lush depths of Rúndawald remain the vestiges of a hamlet, which was presumably built by ancient woodland tribes to offer shelter as well as medical cares to sick or injured travelers. The few reports we could gather unanimously mention the existence in those ruins of a deep, man-made stone pond, from the bottom of which an uncanny blue light is glowing, and whose waters have incredibly powerful curative properties."
Another fantasy pic!
In my mind, the artwork represents an elf - maybe even a elf princess, given the elegant dress and the hair job.
During a stroll, she stumbled upon a pair of birds: one knocked dead, the other stubbornly staying alongside its friend's body. So she brought the dead one to this magical pond, in the hope that its healing waters would revive the poor thing.
But can magic do miracles? I let you choose the answer.About the picture:
I don't know where this scene came from, I suddenly had it in mind. Yet the draft I did looked so "meh..." that I didn't know whether it was worth rendering or not.
So I showed the draft to my mother so I could have another opinion about it, and she was all "OMG I love the idea, I want to see what it will look like in the end, so I command you to finish it. Now grab your tablet and draw."
And now, I want to say a big "thanks" to Mom for the motivation boost, because I ended up liking the final result
I especially like the setting and mood. #DappledLightFTW
