Farmhouse

Autumn vibe pic featuring my cats, Lily (front) and Luna (back) Last drawing was focusing on the warm, cozy, homey side of fall; that one was meant to capture its more contemplative vibe that leads to spooky season, and I thought a pumpkin patch and a lone, near-bare tree by a humid sunset were perfect for that.


Looks rougher cause I deliberately used rougher brushes. I think it fits the autumn vibe quite nicely, and it was especially good to work on the gnarly tree's bark and fine branches.

As focal points, the cats were supposed to be more polished than the rest, and while Luna is indeed "finished", Lily isn't (yet?). She still looks scruffy, and things like her nose or ears aren't detailed enough, so I needed to dedicate maybe two more hours tonight to refine all that... but those two hours were spent filling a complaint for damages done to my car instead, and I just no longer feel like drawing right now.

Also Luna is supposed to be one heck of a massive chonk compared to Lily, but having her a bit farther back meant I had to scale her down, and I might've overdone it a bit... Now it's Lily who looks like she's got 4 lbs to shed No seriously, I don't really recognize my tiny skinny cat, so I might fix it tomorrow (unless life decides to thwart my plans once again, that is-)
