For the first time, Garasu dreams a memory, and knows it to be real. This is a moment she has waited for nearly all her life, a sign of her maturation, the chance to get to know her past life, and perhaps even learn how it came to an end. She hears enough whimsy demons discuss the process to know that these returning memories will not always be pleasant, and indeed, the “end” is often as unpleasant as they come, but to Garasu even the darker prospects are exciting all the same.
